In Grandpa's Arms I was asked to do this as a commission for a friend. She let me do it without any limitations. It is one of my favorites! 43 Once I heard a little girl say, who's mother had passed away, that her favorite memory of her mom was eating a bowl of cereal together in the middle of the night. That's what I want the viewer to get from this painting. It's not what we do that creates memories it is how we do it. If we take the time to lovingly sit on a swing with our grandchildren, we will be remembered.
