To Young 83- The question I am asked most often is, "How long does it take you to finish a painting?" Well there isn't an easy answer to that question. I struggle with some paintings and they take weeks. With some I feel so inspired that I am able to complete them in a day or two. The painting of this young lady was one of those inspired moments.

Laurie, Our good friend commissioned this painting of our daughter, Kate, who we lost a little over three years ago on July 4th. We have it hanging in our living room and it has brought us much joy and comfort to see her face so happy. Thank you so much for capturing her very essence in this painting. Some day I hope to be able to meet you and thank you in person. Mel
